Cruz Coloma
As a graduate of Northwestern Michigan College’s Aviation Flight Technologies program, I bring a structured, collegiate-level discipline to every flight lesson. My journey began early with dual enrollment at Lansing Community College and a Career Tech Education course through Crosswinds Aviation while still in high school. Since then, I have trained across the Midwest and through the high-density airspace of Mesa, Arizona.

This background allows me to provide my students with a comprehensive understanding of diverse operating environments, from complex weather patterns to busy terminal areas. I am dedicated to producing safe, professional, and proficient pilots by applying the same rigorous standards I’ve maintained throughout my own training. I look forward to helping you navigate your own path to the flight deck with confidence.

Koby Hansen
After earning my Bachelor’s in Business Management from BYU-Idaho and building a foundation in the corporate sector, a single Discovery Flight changed my trajectory forever. I knew immediately that aviation wasn’t just a hobby—it was my career.

My journey took me from the challenging mountain terrain of Idaho to the expansive plains of Kansas, eventually leading me to Phoenix, Arizona. This is where I became a CFI/CFII and started working as an instructor and was hired at a 141 Flight school. I later transitioned to instructing in Alpha Trainers at Falcon Field where I became the Chief Flight Instructor overseing and developing curriculum and material for students to use.

Wesley Helm
In 2023 I began my aviation journey through a flight school here at Falcon Field. There I earned all my ratings (PPL/IR/CMEL/CFI/CFII) by May of 2025. Since then I have been able to share my knowledge with others. I look forward to being able to help students have those “lightbulb” moments throughout the beginnings of their aviation journey.

You’ll see me around on my days off here in the office at Cunningham Aviation handling the fueling that goes on here at Falcon Field. When I’m not at the airport you can find me at home with my wife and kid. Can’t wait to fly!
